Sunday Afternoon Concert During Camp Meeting!
Sunday August 5th, 2012
New Destiny Quartet - www.newdestinyqt.com
New Destiny is a group that defies being categorized. Singing a mixture of Christian Music, Traditional, Praise and Worship, Christmas, an acappella, while sharing their testimonies, New Destiny offers something for everyone.
In 1999 an exciting new group burst on the gospel music scene – New Destiny Quartet. Tom Durham, Doug Ashton, and Karl Miller felt the call to begin this ministry. New Destiny Quartet has overcome many obstacles that have come their way and God has been faithful and today New Destiny Quartet has become one of the top quartets in Michigan.
In 2011, New Destiny produced their latest recording project, Sold Out. Their first national single release from that project, Burning the Midnight Oil, was released in September of 2011 to rave reviews. Over the past years New Destiny Quartet has been privileged to sing in Churches and Auditoriums in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and Tennessee while sharing the stage with artists like The Booth Brothers, Michael English, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Vickie Winans, The Dove Brothers, The Talley Trio, Gold City and many more. But it is the souls that have been won to Christ and the Christian who was struggling then lifted up by our music that is why we travel and sing for our Lord and Savior.
Thursday Night Concert to Kick off Camp Meeting!

The Thurstons - www.thethurstonfamily.org
Family, Music, Minsitry, all things you will experience at a gospel music concert or church setting with this talented family. The Thurstons have performed in churches, fairs, festivals and auditoriums in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and many other states as well.
The family group consists of Dave & Marni Thurston and their sons. Brandon (17) is on drums and vocals; Adam (15) runs sound, sings and occasionally plays guitar; Cameron (13) manages the product table, sings in the family quartet and is also featured in a piano duet; Mitchel (12) assists in setting up the equipment, sings, and is beginning to play bass guitar. These boys are growing up and taking their place on stage with the family.
Two other men add their talents to make this group complete. Fred Udell plays the piano and Ron Lucas is lead vocalist. Fred has been involved in Gospel Music his entire life. His classy style adds so much to the sound of The Thurston’s Music. Fred has been a part of this family group since it began in 2005. Ron Lucas grew up around Gospel Music. His big lead voice adds a solid blend to the vocal sound of The Thurstons.
