...is "Surprised by Hope", and our key Biblical Text will be Romans 15:13. "I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."

Comedy at the Camp!

Our Kickoff Concert on Thursday, August 5th at 7PM will be Daren Streblow, a comedian who appeals to wide audiences and has been described many ways: clean comedian, Christian comedian, corporate comedian, business comedian, college comedian, church comedian, youth group comedian, club comedian, school-assembly comedian, outreach comedian, and cruise ship comedian.  One description says it all – hilarious. Kerry RobinsonOur Evangelist!

Our Evangelist this year is Dr. Kerry Robinson. Dr. Kerry B. Robinson is the Senior Pastor of East Side Church of God, Anderson, IN., a congregation he has served since December 1996. East Side Church is located near the campus of Anderson University and Church of God Ministries, Inc. and is widely recognized for it missional desire to “Lift up Jesus Christ so that people may Discover Hope for Life.”  As the primary speaker for East Side Church, Dr. Robinson shares passionately to groups of various sizes in diverse settings in an effort to help individuals discover the hope of Jesus Christ.
 
Prior to his current assignment, Kerry was the Senior Pastor of White Chapel Church of God and President of Warner Christian Academy in Daytona Beach (1992-1996) and Senior Pastor of Scott Memorial Church of God, Chattanooga, TN (1983-1992).
 
He is a graduate of Anderson University, Anderson School of Theology, and has done postgraduate work at Emory University in Atlanta.   Kerry is a graduate of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, AL., with a Doctor of Ministry Degree.   Dr. Robinson has served in leadership for the Church of God at the state, regional, and national levels.
 
Kerry is married to the former Becky Meyer and they have two adult sons, Kyle and
Kameron.

Mick GilliamOur Song Evangelists

Our song evangelist this year is Mick Gilliam,
the Pastor of Worship Arts and Prayer at the East Side Church of of God in Anderson, IN.
Pastor Gilliam has served congregations in Oregon, Florida, Ohio and Indiana, and has also taught regularly in Christian colleges and seminaries. He and his wife Linda have two children, Micah and Amanda, and have been married for 31 years.  He loves spending time with his family, participating in outdoor activities, playing racquetball, and mountain biking.  He also frequently composes and records his original music.  Gilliam holds a M.M.E. from Lewis and Clark College and a D.W.S. from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies.
 
His wife Linda works as a copyright agent for Gaither Music. His daughter Amanda is a junior  social work major at Anderson University. His son Micah holds a Music Business degree from Anderson University and is a free-lance guitarist. He serves as band leader with Cook and Belle and the Casey Jamerson band.

Demetrius BookerOur Guest speaker

We will have a Guest Evangelist speaking on the first Friday and Saturday night of Camp meeting this year, due to some scheduling challenges. 

 Pastor Demetrius Booker has been the visionary leader and Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Community Church (LHC) since 1996. Pastor Booker was called to Ministry in 1974 at the age of fifteen. He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University where he received dual degrees in Communication and Pastoral Theology. He holds a Master’s Degree in Ministry from Southern California School of Ministry. Reverend Booker was adjunct professor at the school of theology Detroit campus.

He has served the Church of God in Michigan in several Capacities Including the Board of Directors , and was recently hired to work alongside Bill Jones as the Church Health Minister for the Church of God in Michigan.

Demetrius is married to Doreen Booker and is the father of 3 daughters.
